Meet the Partners

Wayne Griffin, President and Founding Partner
Wayne is the strategic leader of AFS Building Group and responsible for the management of the company’s operations.  Wayne is a Certified Remodeler (CR*) through the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).  Prior to forming AFS he had over 20 years of commercial and residential construction experience; most recently at Valley National Bank.  Wayne is most proud of the success of AFS Building Group and the family house he built in Mexico.

George Brunell, Vice President and Founding Partner
George is a lead Project Manager and also a Certified Remodeler (CR*).  He brings creativity and innovation with his 35+ years of remodeling and construction experience.  His involvement extends from Arizona and Nevada historical renovations, to in-depth Green Building knowledge acquired through NARI and Scottsdale’s Green Programs, and spans to contemporary construction through joint projects with ASID affiliates (Arizona Society of Interior Designers).  He has held many positions for the local chapter of NARI and currently serves on the Board of Directors.  George is an alumnus of Penn State University and a top fund raiser for the annual MS Bike Ride.

Tony Dotolo, Vice President and Partner
Tony is the lead Project Manager for AFS Building Group.  He joined the company in 2007 bringing a strong combination of management, project, interpersonal, and analytical skills from 30+ years in the corporate world; most recently at Charles Schwab.
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts Tony is driven to become a top residential remodeler while enjoying cooking, grandchildren, and working on his personal remodeling projects. 

* A CR is a certified professional remodeler who provides a full range of remodeling services.  To become a CR, a candidate must possess skill and knowledge in a broad range of business management and technical skill areas.  At least five years of remodeling experience, successful completion of an examination, and commitment to NARI ethics and on-going education are also requisites of a CR.
